My Ramenbox Arrived
I came across Ramenbox.com the other day and I thought it was kind of a neat gimmick. You go to the site, pick a regular or large box, and then fill it with a selection of ramen noodles that you pick out individually. I purchased the "regular" box which has 20 slots and is 25.95$ shipped. Is this that much more convenient or cheaper than going down to the Asian Market and picking out your own (from a much larger selection)? No, but like I said, it is a neat gimmick and I thought I would give it a whirl.
My Ramenbox came after about a week, all nicely shrink wrapped.
I was pleased to see a little bonus package with a free ramen, some Sriracha packets, some chopsticks, and a Ramenbox sticker.
Some interesting choices that I selected were-
Green Tea Ramen, which I initially thought said "Green Tea Cholera" which is not very appetizing.
Kung Fu Ramen.
BBQ Chicken Ramen.
The massive Tomato Ramen, which was about the size of a whole box of spaghetti.
I am a big ramen fan, so this was just a kind of neat little gift to myself. I should post some of my myriad methods of ramen enhancement one of these days. Maybe I will even share my notoriously delicious recipe for "noodle pork." Anyways, the Ramenbox concept seems to be a witty little business plan and I am sure they will do well. I would send one of these off to a college age friend or relative.
